Executive training built around the decisions you actually face

Most leadership programs teach frameworks in a vacuum. We drop senior leaders into compressed, high-stakes scenarios drawn from real boardroom dilemmas — then debrief every micro-decision until the pattern becomes instinct. This is executive training designed for leaders who already know the theory but need sharper judgement under pressure.

How the program works

Each cohort follows a four-phase arc that mirrors the lifecycle of a critical business decision — from ambiguity through commitment to consequence.

1

Diagnostic intake

Before you arrive, we interview your direct reports, peers, and board contacts. We map your default decision style — where you over-index on data, where you defer, and where you move too fast. This profile shapes every scenario you encounter during the intensive. No two participants receive the same brief, which means you cannot hide behind group consensus.

2

Scenario immersion

Days one and two place you inside compressed simulations drawn from real corporate crises — M&A collapses, regulatory ambushes, talent revolts. Each round lasts ninety minutes. You make binding choices with incomplete information, then face cascading consequences designed to surface your blind spots. Our facilitators are former CEOs and general counsel, not academics.

3

Pattern debrief

Day three is the mirror. We replay your decisions frame by frame, comparing your instinct against the cohort median and against documented outcomes from the source cases. You leave with a written decision-pattern report that identifies your three highest-leverage improvement areas and the cognitive traps you reliably fall into.

4

Sixty-day follow-through

The programme does not end when you leave the room. Over the following sixty days, you receive fortnightly one-on-one coaching sessions that connect your pattern report to live decisions in your actual role. Your coach reviews board papers, strategy memos, or deal terms with you — applying the framework where it counts. We measure progress against baseline and share a final impact summary with your sponsor.

Problems we help senior leaders solve

Analysis paralysis at the top

When every option looks defensible, leaders stall. We train you to identify the two or three variables that actually discriminate between outcomes — and to commit before the window closes. Participants consistently report a measurable reduction in average decision cycle time within three months of completing the cohort.

Boardroom misalignment

Executives often disagree not on facts but on risk appetite. Our scenarios expose these hidden divergences safely, giving leadership teams a shared vocabulary for trade-offs. We frequently run paired cohorts so that an entire C-suite can calibrate together before a major strategic pivot or capital allocation cycle.

Transition to general management

Functional experts promoted into GM or MD roles often struggle with breadth. Our immersion forces cross-domain thinking — you cannot solve a supply-chain crisis without considering the brand impact, the union response, and the investor call happening in forty-eight hours. This is the muscle most MBA programmes never build.

Succession readiness gaps

Boards need evidence that their next CEO can handle ambiguity. We provide a structured, third-party assessment of decision quality under pressure — a data point that complements 360-degree reviews and psychometric profiling. Several ASX-listed companies now include our cohort as a required step in their succession pipeline.

Upcoming cohort dates

Each cohort is limited to fourteen participants to ensure deep facilitation. Seats fill early — we recommend securing your place at least six weeks in advance.

Dr Karen Lowe, founder and lead facilitator of ExecSkillBridge

Founded by a practitioner, not a professor

Dr Karen Lowe spent eighteen years in C-suite roles across mining, financial services, and health tech before launching ExecSkillBridge in 2019. She designed the programme after watching dozens of high-potential leaders derail — not from lack of knowledge, but from untrained judgement under ambiguity.

Every facilitator in our network has held a managing director or general counsel position. We do not employ career trainers. This means the person debriefing your decisions has made — and lived with — decisions of comparable weight. That credibility changes the conversation entirely.

Let us design the right cohort for your team

Whether you are enrolling yourself or nominating a leadership group, we start every conversation by understanding the strategic context. Tell us what is on the table and we will recommend the right format.
